Position Title: Waiter

Department: Dining Area/Front of the house

Reports to: HR/ Operations Manager/ Head Waiter

Employment Type: Full-time -Probationary 

I. JOB SUMMARY:

The Waiter is responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately taking and serving orders, and ensuring patrons enjoy a pleasant dining experience. This role serves as the primary representative of the restaurant, requiring a balance of efficiency, attentiveness, and a professional demeanor, even during peak hours.

II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer Service

  • Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Answer customer questions about the menu, ingredients, or specials.
  • Handle complaints or concerns promptly and politely, escalating when needed.

Order Handling & Serving

  • Serve food and drinks in a timely manner, ensuring presentation standards are met.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure orders are accurate.
  • Check tables regularly and refill beverages, condiments, and utensils.
  • Assist in clearing and resetting tables between guests.

Cash Handling & Transactions

  • Process bills and payments accurately, handling cash and card transactions responsibly.
  • Ensure correct change is given and receipts are properly issued.

Hygiene & Cleanliness

  • Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.

Other Responsibilities

  • Attend staff meetings, briefings, and training sessions.
  • Adhere to all company policies, including the Employee Code of Conduct.
  • Perform other restaurant-related duties as assigned.

  • Physically able to stand and walk for long periods, carry trays, and lift moderate weights.


IV. Qualifications & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in food service or hospitality is a plus.
  • Must be willing to undergo medical clearance and provide NBI clearance if required.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
