Chief Accountant, San Juan

Core Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Closing: Facilitate month-end/year-end closing, preparing accurate financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) on time.
• Accounting Operations: Oversee daily accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Compliance & Tax: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations (tax compliance, VAT, audit requirements).
• Internal Controls: Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls.
• Budgeting & Analysis: Assist with annual budgeting, track expenses against budgets, and analyze financial variances.
• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and train accounting staff
