1 Key Responsibilities
- System Design & Engineering: Create detailed layouts for residential, commercial, or utility-scale PV systems using AutoCAD and specialized software (PVSyst, Helioscope).
- Site Assessment: Conduct technical site surveys to evaluate roof integrity, shading, and electrical infrastructure.
- Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end installation process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to safety standards.
- Compliance & Permitting: Prepare technical documents for net-metering applications and coordinate with LGU/Meralco/NGCP for grid interconnection.
- Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting for inverters, monitoring systems (SCADA/Dataloggers), and battery storage (BESS).
- Bill of Materials (BOM): Estimate costs and source high-quality components (panels, mounting rails, cables) for procurement.
2. Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (most preferred), Renewable Energy Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- License: Must be a Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) or Registered Master Electrician (RME) for signing and sealing designs.
- Software Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D).
- Expertise in solar simulation tools like PVSyst, Helioscope, or PV*SOL.
- Knowledge of SketchUp (for 3D renderings) is a plus.
- Experience: 13 years of experience in solar PV design or electrical construction. (Fresh grads with strong internship backgrounds in renewables are often considered for Junior roles).
3. Soft Skills & Specialized Knowledge
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC) and Renewable Energy Act (RA 9513).
- Safety Standards: DOLE-certified BOSH (Basic Occupational Safety and Health) training is highly valued.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to calculate ROI and energy yield projections for clients.
