Accounting Supervisor, San Juan

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations and financial activities of the company
• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Manage the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data and transactions
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed
• Analyze financial data and trends to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field
• CPA certification for this role is required.
• With at least 2 years of proven experience as a general accountant
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in supervising and mentoring junior accounting staff
