Job Title: Accounting Officer (Construction Industry)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Officer with a strong background in the construction industry to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of managing financial transactions, cost tracking, and project-based accounting while ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and reports.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor and track project expenses, budgets, and cash flows.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, monthly/quarterly reports, and year-end closing.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and government reporting requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers and procurement teams to ensure accurate cost allocation.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 35 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a construction or contracting firm.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and project-based financial management.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or equivalent) and MS Excel.
• Familiarity with tax laws, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting standards.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
