JOB DESCRIPTION: BRANCH MANAGER

Location: Quezon City (field-based across Metro Manila)

Reports to: Operations Manager

Scope: Three (3) assigned stores

ROLE SUMMARY

The Branch Manager is accountable for the sales, operations, and people performance of three stores.

This role ensures each store consistently meets targets through strong execution, disciplined operations, and capable Store Supervisors..

This is a hands-on, field role focused on results, not administrative work.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.Sales & Business Performance

Deliver sales targets for all assigned stores

Monitor performance daily and act immediately on gaps

Ensure execution of all in-store sales drivers (upselling, availability, speed)

Prevent lost sales due to stockouts or poor execution

2.Store Operations

Enforce strict compliance with SOPs, recipes, and service standards

Ensure consistency in food quality, portioning, and preparation

Maintain proper inventory management and control wastage

Conduct structured store visits and audits weekly

3.Food Safety & Cleanliness

Ensure full compliance with food safety and sanitation standards

Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready stores at all times

Identify, correct, and prevent repeat issues

4.Customer Experience

Ensure fast, accurate, and consistent service

Handle escalated complaints within 24 - 48 hours

Act on feedback and eliminate recurring issues

5.People Management

Lead and develop Store Supervisors as primary focus

Ensure complete staffing and proper scheduling

Conduct regular coaching and performance reviews

Enforce discipline and accountability across all stores

6.Reporting & Control

Maintain visibility over:

Sales

Wastage

Staffing

Submit accurate and timely reports

Flag issues early with clear recommendations

KEY PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

Sales targets consistently achieved

Stores maintain high audit and cleanliness standards

No recurring food quality or service issues

Store Supervisors capable of running stores independently

Issues are resolved quickly and do not repeat

ROLE BOUNDARIES (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

The Branch Manager:

  • Owns execution and results at store level

The Branch Manager does NOT own:

Company strategy

Major capital decisions (renovations, large purchases)

Policy creation or system design

Provides input when required but remains focused on store performance.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

At least 5 years F&B experience, including multi-store management (minimum 2-3 stores)

Strong background in kitchen and store operations

Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop managers

Hands-on experience in P&L (Profit & Loss) management per store, including:

Sales performance vs targets

Cost control (food cost, labor cost, wastage)

Store profitability monitoring and improvement actions

Strong understanding of local government and regulatory compliance per store location, including:

Business permits and renewals

Sanitary permits and health compliance

Fire safety and inspection requirements

Other city or municipal requirements applicable to each store

Graduate of Commerce, HRTM, Business,or related field (preferred)

Strong communication skills (English & Tagalog)

Highly organized with strong prioritization skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel (required for reporting and analysis)

Willing to work on-site and travel daily across assigned stores

PREFERRED

Experience in restaurant operations focused on quality-driven, made-to-order food preparation with strong emphasis on consistency, standards, and attention to detail.

Knowledge of food safety systems (e.g., HACCP)

Experience improving underperforming stores

Have actual multi-store responsibility (not assistant roles)

Have handled both kitchen and front-of-house operations

Can clearly explain how they improved store performance

Are willing to work in-store regularly (not office-based mindset)

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

Must be field-based at least 80% of the time

Must conduct weekly visits across all assigned stores

Must be available during peak hours, weekends, and holidays as needed

Must respond to major issues within the same day

Must be comfortable making on-the-spot decisions
