Travel Agent, Iloilo

The main job of a Travel Agent is to help clients have successful trips for business and pleasure. General duties and responsibilities of Travel Agents include:

• Offering clients advice about travel destinations
• Helping clients establish realistic budgets for their trips and working to develop travel packages that align with those budgets
• Researching fares and rates to find the best deals on transportation, dining, accommodations and activities
• Educating clients about safety and security while traveling
• Determining necessary travel documents
• Creating day-by-day itineraries personalized based on clients interests, preferences and budgets
• Providing guides, maps, event calendars and other useful information to clients
• Following up with clients about travel plans and making adjustments as needed
• Assisting with the resolution of unexpected problems, such as canceled flights or issues with hotel reservations conflicts, complaints, cancelations and refunds
• Builds and maintains relationships with travel and tour vendors.
• Conducts research on destinations and industry trends.
• Maintains accurate records of bookings, payments, transactions, phone calls and meetings.
• Contributes to agency efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
