Pawn and Loan Transactions:

• Process pawn transactions, including evaluating items brought in for pawning or selling.
• Offer loans or purchase prices based on the assessed value of items (e.g., jewelry, electronics, firearms).
• Ensure proper documentation for each transaction, including loan agreements and receipts.

Customer Service:

• Greet customers and assist with inquiries about pawn or purchase options.
• Provide clear explanations of terms, interest rates, and repayment schedules for pawn loans.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers by providing personalized service.

Item Evaluation and Appraisal:

• Assess the condition, quality, and value of items brought into the shop.
• Use knowledge of market value, trends, and item specifics (e.g., precious metals, collectibles) to determine fair pricing.
• Test and verify the functionality of electronic items and other valuables when applicable.

Cash Handling:

• Handle cash transactions accurately, including giving cash for purchases and loans.
• Ensure the cash drawer is balanced at the beginning and end of each shift.

Inventory Management:

• Track and maintain an organized inventory of pawned items.
• Monitor items in the store and ensure they are displayed appropriately for resale.
• Follow up with customers on outstanding loans or items nearing expiration.

Compliance and Legal Requirements:

• Ensure compliance with local and state regulations concerning pawn transactions (e.g., required identification, pawn ticket documentation, and holding periods for certain items).
• Report stolen items and suspicious transactions as required by law.
• Follow security procedures to ensure the safe handling and storage of valuable items.

Sales and Marketing:

• Assist in selling items on the shop floor and provide sales support when needed.
• Promote additional services and products (e.g., layaway, buy-sell services).

Record-keeping:

• Maintain accurate records for all transactions and customer interactions.
• Ensure proper filing and documentation for audit purposes.
