A Seasonal Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently during peak business periods such as holidays, sales events, or special seasons. They provide excellent customer service, handle cash and electronic payments, and assist in maintaining a smooth checkout experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Process cash, credit/debit card, and digital payment transactions accurately.
- Issue receipts, refunds, exchanges, and discounts according to company policies.
- Maintain an organized and clean checkout area.
- Assist customers with inquiries regarding products, prices, and promotions.
- Balance cash drawers and report discrepancies to supervisors.
- Support store operations, including restocking shelves and maintaining merchandise displays when needed.
- Follow company procedures, safety standards, and customer service guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Previous cashier or retail experience is an advantage but not required.
- Strong numerical and customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
