Database Administrator, Pasig

We are looking for a skilled PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize PostgreSQL database environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability setup, security management, and automation of administrative tasks. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience supporting mission-critical database systems in a fast-paced environment.

• Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL database environments
• Monitor database health, performance, and system availability
• Optimize SQL queries, indexes, and database configurations for maximum performance
• Manage database backup, restore, and WAL archiving processes
• Set up and maintain replication, failover, and high availability solutions
• Implement and enforce database security, user roles, and access controls
• Perform database upgrades, patching, and migration activities
• Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting tools and technologies
• Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolution
• Create and maintain technical documentation, configurations, and operational procedures
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and development teams to support database requirements
• Ensure database environments follow best practices for reliability, scalability, and security

• Proven experience as a PostgreSQL Database Administrator or similar role
• Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL installation, configuration, and administration
• Experience in database performance monitoring and optimization
• Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, including WAL archiving
• Experience with PostgreSQL replication and high availability setup
• Strong understanding of database security, permissions, and access management
• Experience performing database upgrades and migration activities
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, Shell, or similar technologies
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
