Job Summary:

At ALPAS.PH Inc., the Digital News Writer develops timely, engaging, and platform-optimized news content designed for online audiences. This role blends traditional journalism with digital storytellingproducing content that is accurate, fast, and compelling across web, social media, and emerging platforms.

The Digital News Writer works closely with the Art Director, Graphic Artist, and Video Editor to deliver news that is both informative and shareable.

• Write, edit, and proofread a wide range of content, including press releases, holding statements, Q&A briefs, key message houses, op-eds, news articles, breaking updates, and short-form digital content.
• Produce timely and accurate content under tight deadlines, including real-time news coverage, crisis communications, and live updates.
• Translate complex information into clear, engaging, and audience-friendly stories for media, internal communications, and digital platforms.
• Craft compelling headlines, captions, and hooks optimized for audience engagement and click-through performance.
• Adapt and optimize content for multiple platforms, including websites, Facebook, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram.
• Monitor trending topics, viral content, and social conversations to identify timely story opportunities and relevant angles.
• Collaborate with account managers, editors, graphic artists, and video editors to develop editorial calendars and multimedia-driven content.
• Ensure all published materials are accurate, verified, and aligned with editorial, brand, and communication standards.
• Apply SEO best practices to improve content visibility, reach, and performance.
• Update, revise, and rewrite content as needed to maintain relevance and accuracy.

Requirements:

• Strong digital news writing and storytelling skills.
• Ability to write quickly without compromising accuracy and credibility.
• Familiarity with social media trends, audience behavior, and platform-specific content styles.
• Basic knowledge of SEO, headline optimization, and analytics-driven content.
• Experience in handling breaking news and real-time reporting is an advantage.
