SQL Database Developer, Pasig

We are looking for a SQL Database Developer to own the health, performance, and accuracy of our product database. In this role, you will manage critical product data, including pricing, attributes, and lead times, ensuring our systems are optimized, clean, and ready to support our external website.

• Database Design & Maintenance: Build, test, and optimize stable SQL databases. Maintain legacy systems and modify structures based on business needs.
• Data Integrity: Regularly validate product attributes, pricing, and lead time data to ensure 100% accuracy and consistency.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor system metrics, troubleshoot malfunctions, and collaborate with developers to improve application speed and best practices.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers and Engineering teams to gather requirements and ensure system consistency.
• Support & Documentation: Create technical manuals and provide support for database-related queries.

Technical Essentials:

• 34 years of experience in SQL and database design (T-SQL required).
• Data Analysis: Proficient in SQL, Excel, and Power BI for reporting.
• Architecture: Strong ability to write clean, maintainable, and performant code.
• Version Control: Comfortable using Git.
• Business Savvy: Ability to translate high-level business needs into technical requirements.
• Language: Excellent written and spoken English.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Familiarity with Python, PowerShell, or NoSQL.
• Cloud experience (Azure) and CI/CD pipeline knowledge.
• Background in Mechanical Engineering or electromechanical products.

Education:

• BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

• Location: Pasig City (Hybrid: 1 day onsite, 4 days WFH).
• Shift: Mid-shift (2:00 PM 11:00 PM PHT), Monday to Friday.
• Contract: Project-based (Minimum 6 months), with potential for extension or conversion to full-time based on performance and business needs.
• Timezone: Must be able to align with Eastern or Central (US) business hours when required.
