Business Development Supervisor
Job Summary

The Business Development Supervisor drives company growth by leading the BD team, generating new business opportunities, and managing key partnerships. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, this role executes growth strategies, strengthens client relationships, and ensures seamless coordination across departments.


Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify and pursue new markets, clients, and strategic partnerships
  • Develop and implement lead generation strategies to sustain pipeline growth
  • Conduct market research, customer profiling, and competitor analysis
  • Assess partnership opportunities and prepare feasibility studies


2. Client & Partner Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners
  • Oversee onboarding and ensure service delivery meets expectations
  • Lead client meetings, negotiations, and industry engagements
  • Ensure timely follow-ups, proposals, and contract renewals


3. Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Supervise BD Officers/Assistants and monitor daily performance
  • Set targets and ensure achievement of KPIs
  • Conduct coaching, performance reviews, and capability development
  • Delegate tasks and ensure alignment with business goals


4. Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Support the Marketing Manager in executing growth strategies
  • Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns and partnership initiatives
  • Oversee development of proposals, presentations, and pitch decks
  • Provide insights to improve market positioning and competitiveness


5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Marketing teams
  • Coordinate with Finance and Legal on pricing, contracts, and compliance
  • Ensure alignment of BD initiatives with internal processes and timelines


6. Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports
  • Track key metrics (lead conversion, revenue impact, partnerships)
  • Identify gaps and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and pipeline tracking


7. Administrative & Operational Support

  • Oversee preparation of contracts, MOUs, and proposals
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and brand standards
  • Manage schedules, meetings, and BD activities
  • Monitor budgets for events, travel, and initiatives


8. Special Projects & Representation

  • Lead or support strategic and ad hoc projects
  • Represent the company in events, conferences, and industry engagements
  • Identify innovation opportunities to strengthen BD initiatives


Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field
  • Proven experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management
  • Strong understanding of market expansion, lead generation, and partnerships
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing corporate accounts or strategic partnerships
  • Background in marketing collaboration, campaigns, or brand partnerships
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Operations
  • Strong industry network or stakeholder exposure
  • Skilled in proposal writing and business presentations
