I. JOB SUMMARY / OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
The Product Specialist is responsible for promoting assigned ethical pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals and trade accounts in accordance with company standards and the Philippine FDA and PMA ethical guidelines. The role involves implementing marketing and sales strategies, developing strong customer relationships, and achieving assigned sales targets within the assigned territory.
As a key field representative, the Product Specialist ensures proper brand visibility, market penetration, and sustainable business growth by effectively communicating product benefits and clinical evidence to physicians and other healthcare decision-makers.

II. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Sales and Promotion
Conduct ethical product promotion and scientific detailing to physicians, pharmacists, other healthcare professionals and trade/key accounts.
Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales objectives and activity targets.
Implement marketing programs, promotional campaigns, and sampling activities according to the approved plan.
Identify, classify, and develop new prescribers and key accounts within the assigned territory.
B. Territory and Account Management
Plan and execute daily call schedules and coverage plans using a territory management system.
Maintain updated records of physicians, hospitals, and pharmacies.
Monitor competitors activities and provide timely feedback to management.
Manage consignment accounts (if applicable) and ensure timely collection of receivables.
C. Product Knowledge and Training
Maintain a high level of scientific and clinical knowledge of assigned products, therapeutic areas, and competitors.
Attend product training, sales meetings, and company-sponsored educational programs.
Act as a scientific resource and brand ambassador during conventions, round table discussions, and medical events.
D. Reporting and Compliance
Submit timely and accurate sales reports, call reports, and market feedback.
Ensure compliance with company policies, code of ethics, and all regulatory requirements.
Uphold professionalism and integrity in all interactions with healthcare professionals and institutions.

III. QUALIFICATIONS
A. Education
Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Marketing, or any allied health or science-related field.
B. Experience
Preferably with at least 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or healthcare promotion.
C. Competencies and Skills
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent customer relationship management and negotiation skills.
Good analytical thinking and adaptability to a dynamic market environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Possesses a valid drivers license and willing to travel within assigned territory.
