Responsibilities:

  • Prepare meals and follow establishment recipes
  • Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment such as knives, pans, and food scales
  • Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh
  • Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing, mixing ingredients, and cooking food in a timely manner
  • Delegate tasks to kitchen staff
  • Inform staff about daily specials
  • Ensure appealing plate presentation
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
  • Foster a climate of cooperation and respect among co-workers, coaching Kitchen Helpers for optimum output
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • College level
  • Diploma in Culinary Science or related certificate
  • Proven experience as a Cook
  • At least 2 years of working experience in a full-service restaurant
  • Exceptional kitchen management skills
  • Ability to divide responsibilities and monitor progress
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills
  • Credentials in health and safety training
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Dedicated to food quality and safety
