Qualifications Japanese Interpreter

Bachelors degree in Japanese Language, Linguistics, Communication, International Studies, or related field is an advantage
Proficient in spoken and written Japanese and English
JLPT certification (N2 or N1 preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to accurately translate and interpret conversations, documents, and meetings
Experience working with foreign clients or multinational companies is an advantage
Knowledge of Japanese culture, business etiquette, and professional communication standards
Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
Proficient in Microsoft Office and communication tools

Roles and Responsibilities Japanese Interpreter

Interpret verbal communication between Japanese-speaking and English-speaking clients, staff, and management
Translate documents, emails, reports, and other business materials from Japanese to English and vice versa
Communicate effectively with foreign clients to ensure clear understanding of business discussions and transactions
Assist during meetings, conferences, interviews, and client visits by providing accurate interpretation
Support daily communication between local employees and Japanese expatriates or foreign partners
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
Coordinate with different departments to ensure smooth communication and workflow
Clarify cultural differences and help foster positive relationships with Japanese and foreign clients
Prepare translation and interpretation reports when necessary
Perform other language-related and administrative tasks assigned by management
