Job Summary:
The HR Supervisor is responsible for managing end-to-end human resources operations in a fast-paced packaging and trading environment. This role functions as a hands-on HR Generalist, overseeing recruitment, employee relations, timekeeping and payroll coordination, and compliance. The position also supervises HR staff and supports workforce planning for both office and operations personnel, ensuring efficient HR service delivery aligned with business demands.
1. HR Operations & Workforce Management
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for both operations (warehouse, production, drivers) and office-based roles
- Manage onboarding and ensure smooth integration of new hires into operations
- Oversee timekeeping, attendance monitoring, and payroll coordination, including shift-based and high-volume workforce
- Maintain and update 201 files and HR records (manual and/or HRIS)
- Administer compensation and benefits, including government-mandated contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG)
2. Employee Relations & Discipline
- Handle employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary cases in accordance with due process
- Investigate incidents (e.g., attendance issues, misconduct, operational violations) and recommend actions
- Ensure consistent implementation of company policies across warehouse and office settings
3. Leadership & Team Supervision
- Supervise HR staff and oversee daily HR operations
- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members
- Ensure timely and accurate HR service delivery to all departments
4. Compliance & Labor Relations
- Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws, occupational safety standards, and company policies
- Support DOLE-related requirements, audits, and inspections
- Monitor contractualization practices, agency coordination (if applicable), and proper documentation
5. Performance Management & Engagement
- Support implementation of performance management systems for both rank-and-file and supervisory employees
- Partner with operations leaders to address manpower gaps, productivity, and retention issues
- Assist in employee engagement initiatives suited for a diverse workforce (blue-collar and white-collar employees)
6. HR Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare and analyze HR reports (headcount, absenteeism, attrition, hiring turnaround time)
- Recommend process improvements to enhance HR efficiency and employee experience
- Support HR projects aligned with operational growth
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years HR experience, with strong exposure to HR Generalist functions
- At least 3 years in a supervisory or people leadership role preferred
- Experience supporting operations-heavy environments (e.g., packaging, logistics, trading, manufacturing, or distribution)
- Strong working knowledge of Philippine labor laws and statutory compliance
- Proven experience handling employee relations and disciplinary cases
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume workforce environment
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Proficient in MS Office and HRIS (if applicable)
