- Prospecting and Lead Generation:
- Identifying and qualifying potential clients through various methods like cold calling, networking, and online research.
- Relationship Building:
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions.
- Sales Presentations and Demonstrations:
- Delivering compelling presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
- Negotiation and Closing:
- Negotiating sales contracts, pricing, and terms to close deals and achieve sales targets.
- Account Management:
- Managing existing client accounts, providing ongoing support, and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
- Sales Reporting and Analysis:
- Tracking sales activities, analyzing performance, and providing regular reports to management.
- Market Research:
- Staying informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Meeting Sales Targets:
- Working towards individual and team sales goals, contributing to the overall revenue growth of the company.
1. Educational Background
- Minimum: Vocational / Diploma Course
- Preferred: Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
2. Work Experience
- Proven experience in field sales, direct sales, or similar customer-facing role (13 years or more)
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets/goals
3. Skills and Competencies
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities
- Good interpersonal skills for building and maintaining client relationships
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple clients and tasks efficiently
- Problem-solving skills to address client needs and overcome objections
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Tech-savvy (proficient in CRM software, sales tools, and mobile technology)
4. Technical & Practical Requirements
- Valid drivers license (and access to a vehicle, if required)
- Willingness and ability to travel within assigned territories
- Familiarity with the local market or industry (preferred)
