Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and gather case-related information
- Draft legal documents such as contracts, affidavits, pleadings, and correspondence
- Organize and maintain case files and legal records
- Assist lawyers in trial preparation and hearings
- File legal documents with courts or government agencies
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and external parties
- Schedule meetings, depositions, and court dates
- Review and summarize documents and evidence
- Ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or associate degree in legal studies, political science, or related field
- Paralegal certification may be preferred
- Experience in a law firm or legal department is an advantage
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal management software
