PROJECT SITE ENGINEER

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Site Engineer to oversee the execution of roofing projects, with a focus on roof tile installation (clay, concrete, composite, or metal roofing systems). The Site Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all roofing works are completed on time, within budget, to the highest quality standards, and in full compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Civil Engineer is an advantage but not mandatory.
• At least 1 year of site engineering experience, preferably in roofing or general construction projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced site environment.
• Has knowledge in reading technical drawings and using tools such as AutoCAD (basic level), MS Office, and MS Project.
• Willing to work on construction sites, including heights and outdoor conditions.
• Valid drivers license is a plus.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• Supervise On-Site Roofing Works

Oversee the actual installation of roof tiles, underlayment, flashing, gutters, and related components, ensuring proper techniques are followed.

• Interpret Drawings and Specifications

Read and implement architectural/structural plans, shop drawings, and bill of quantities specific to the roofing system.

• Monitor Progress and Quality

Conduct daily site inspections to check workmanship quality, alignment, fixing methods, waterproofing details, and overall compliance with approved plans.

• Ensure Safety Compliance

Enforce health and safety protocols, proper use of PPE, safe working at heights, scaffolding standards, and hazard identification.

• Solve Technical Issues

Identify and resolve on-site problems (e.g., structural discrepancies, tile breakage, drainage issues) promptly and efficiently.

• Manage Materials and Resources

Track material usage, request requisitions, control inventory, minimize wastage, and verify delivered quantities and quality.

• Prepare Site Documentation

Maintain daily reports, progress photographs, material reconciliation, weather logs, and attendance records.

• Assist in Progress Claims and Variations

Measure completed works, prepare quantity surveys for billing, and document any variations or extra works.

• Facilitate Inspections and Handover

Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, and local authorities for stage inspections and final project handover.
