The Benefits Systems Administrator supports the delivery of benefits administration services for Health & Welfare and Pension plans. This role is responsible for system administration, data processing, reporting, testing, and client support while working closely with global teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Administration & System Support
- Administer ongoing benefits system activities for Health & Welfare and Pension plans.
- Process and manage employee, dependent, beneficiary, and enrollment data files.
- Generate payroll feeds, vendor files, and ad hoc reports.
- Process benefit confirmations and related communications.
- Assist with system testing, including web portals, interfaces, and system-generated reports.
- Utilize case management tools to track and resolve issues.
- Respond to and resolve client inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
- Maintain process documentation, procedures, and processing calendars.
- Provide backup support to team members as needed.
Client & Project Support
- Participate in client status meetings and maintain positive client relationships.
- Support project teams to ensure successful transition from implementation to ongoing administration.
- Identify process improvements and potential opportunities for additional services.
Compliance & Operational Excellence
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOC1 requirements, and company standards.
- Meet established service level agreements (SLAs) and productivity goals.
- Analyze workflows and recommend process improvements.
- Develop understanding of integrations between benefits systems, HRIS, payroll, and insurance carriers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexible and willing to work a mid-shift schedule.
- Experience with HRIS, benefits administration systems, payroll systems, or employee benefits administration is an advantage.
- Experience supporting US or UK clients/projects is preferred but not required.
- Ability to complete company-provided Benefits Systems Administrator training.
