The role is responsible for preparing and reviewing financial and tax-related information, managing account records, processing transactions, and analyzing financial data. The position also provides guidance to Finance Officers, Team Leaders, and internal departments on best practices to ensure compliance with financial and tax regulations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in taxation, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting, preferably within large organizations and the transportation, logistics, or express delivery industry.
- Monitor compliance of regional offices with day-to-day finance and tax-related processes.
- Monitor compliance of regional offices with the requirements of their respective Revenue District Office (RDO) and Local Government Unit (LGU).
- Review and validate supporting documents to ensure compliance with minimum requirements of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
- Assist in the preparation and submission of letters, documents, and reports to the BIR.
- Support the preparation and organization of required documents during BIR audits.
- Coordinate and liaise with LGUs and other government agencies for Head Office (HQ) requirements.
- Prepare, review, and assist in tax declarations and ensure proper compliance across various tax types.
- Support tax risk management initiatives and recommend best practices to strengthen tax compliance processes.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on taxation and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other tax-related and finance-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- At least three (3) years of relevant tax experience, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or a similar field.
- Strong background in tax compliance, tax declaration, and tax risk management across various tax types.
- Experience handling tax-related responsibilities in large, formal organizations/companies is highly preferred.
- Candidates with a tax background in large companies, preferably within the transportation, logistics, or express delivery industry, are strongly preferred.
- Strong professional capabilities with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant accounting/financial software.
- Experience in E-Commerce, Logistics, Transportation, or Express Delivery industry is an advantage.
