Description

The Finance Officer is responsible for managing the financial transactions of the business, including accounts payable and receivables, reconciliations, payroll, and government compliance. This role ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of financial operations to support business growth and stability.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Accounts Payable

  • Process, verify, and reconcile invoices to ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • Prepare and issue checks for payments.
  • Compute and prepare Credited Withholding Taxes for suppliers.

2. Accounts Receivable

  • Perform bank reconciliations for various payment methods, including:
  • Credit Card Transactions
  • Cheque Payments
  • GCash
  • Bank Transfers
  • PayMaya
  • Monitor and ensure timely collection of receivables.

3. Expense Management

  • Encode expense invoices, including petty cash receipts, Company President receipts, and CEO receipts.
  • Maintain and update financial records through Zoho and bookkeeping.

4. Payroll & Employee Benefits

  • Prepare, compute, and disburse payroll.
  • Process, file, and remit government benefits and loan payments (SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, etc.).
  • Update and maintain the Employee Master List.

5. Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare and submit the following reports:
  • Daily and Monthly Sales Report (coordinate with Store Managers)
  • Monthly Purchases & Expenses Report
  • Monthly Government Benefits & Loan Report
  • Monthly Lease Report (Warehouse & Branches)

6. Contractor Billing & Cash Handling

  • Prepare weekly billing for contractors (e.g., carpenters, upholstery).
  • Manage and monitor petty cash funds for operational needs.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in Zoho Books, Excel, and financial management software.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.


Requirements
  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Experience Level: 35 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting
  • Skills and Competencies: Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel
  • Qualities and Traits: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Responsibilities and Duties: Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Working Conditions: Office-based position with standard working hours
