Business Development Manager

 

OVERVIEW

 

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new market opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and developing strategies to increase revenue. The BDM will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align efforts and achieve company objectives.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Market Research and Analysis:

- Identify potential markets and clients.

- Analyze industry trends and competitor activities.

- Develop insights to inform strategic planning.

2. Client Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients;

- Conduct regular meetings and follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction;

- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients.

3. Sales Strategy Development:

- Collaborate with the sales team to create effective sales strategies;

- Develop proposals and presentations that meet client needs;

- Track sales performance and adjust strategies as necessary.

4. Networking and Partnerships:

- Attend industry events and networking functions;

- Identify partnership opportunities to enhance service offerings;

- Foster relationships with stakeholders and influencers.

5. Reporting and Documentation:

- Maintain accurate records of business development activities;

- Prepare reports on sales performance, market trends, and client feedback;

- Present findings to management and recommend actions.

6. Collaboration:

- Work with marketing to create promotional materials and campaigns;

- Coordinate with product development to align offerings with market needs;

- Engage with finance and operations to ensure feasibility of proposals.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in business development or sales, preferably in the audio, video and LED lighting industry;

- Strong understanding of market dynamics and customer needs;

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills;

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong analytical skills to interpret market data and trends;
