JOB SUMMARY

The Surface Applicator (Luxury Finishes) is responsible for executing high-end,

design-driven surface applications including micro cement, lime plaster,

clay finishes, and other specialty coatings.

This role goes beyond standard painting or coating work. The position is

designed for individuals who will develop into skilled craftsmen and future

trainers, contributing to the companys long-term goal of building a specialized

finishing capability and training academy.

The role requires a strong focus on precision, consistency, and

visual quality, where even minor imperfections are critical.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

 Surface Preparation (Foundation of Quality)

• Prepare walls and surfaces through cleaning, leveling, sanding, and priming
• Assess and ensure proper substrate conditions such as moisture, flatness, and adhesion
• Coordinate with site teams to confirm readiness prior to application

Application of Finishes

• Apply specialty finishes including micro cement, lime plaster, clay, and other architectural coatings
• Execute full layering systems (base coat, build-up, finishing, sealing)
• Control and maintain consistency in texture, depth, and overall finish

Craftsmanship & Quality Control

• Continuously inspect work for defects such as cracks, unevenness, and adhesion issues
• Maintain extremely high-quality standards for both visual and tactile finishes
• Ensure attention to detail in all stages of work, recognizing that minor imperfections are highly visible in luxury projects.

Tools & Materials Management

• Properly use and maintain tools such as trowels, mixers, sanders, and related equipment
• Accurately mix and prepare materials based on system specifications
• Maintain clean, organized, and controlled working conditions to support finish quality

Learning & Development

• Participate in structured training programs (internal and supplier-led)
• Learn and adapt to new materials, systems, and techniques
• Document learnings and contribute to internal process improvement and playbooks.

Team & Site Coordination

• Work closely with project supervisors, designers, and site teams
• Coordinate with other trades (e.g., painters, carpenters, MEP)
• Communicate issues, risks, and progress clearly and proactively
