Job Summary:

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all payments and deductions of employees are properly recorded, remitted and booked. He/She also ensures that all payables and receivables to/from employees, contractors, employment agencies and government agencies are properly accounted for, paid and collected within set deadlines. 


Job Description:

  • Responsible for End to End payroll process
  • Collate data from payroll sources.
  • Checked daily, weekly, monthly timesheets.
  • Deal with complaints and questions regarding payroll from employees 
  • Responsible for compiling payroll data, error reconciliation, and maintenance of payroll records
  • Calculates employee mandatory contribution (SSS, HDMF and Philhealth), benefits and deductions
  • Monitoring SSS Sickness/Maternity Benefit Reimbursement
  • Process Computation/Issuance of checks for approved benefits (sickness, maternity)
  • Determine tax obligations of the company and council taxes
  • Answer questions from staff about wages, attendance, time records, and deductions
  • Maintain payroll processing system and records
  • Entering new employee data into the company database.
  • Monitoring of leave
  • Coordinate requests for leave and other absences
  • Calculating bonuses and allowances
  • Ensure wages and tax withholdings comply with regulations
  • Enter new employees data (e.g. bank accounts and tax identification numbers) into internal databases
  • Preparing employee compensation checks using payroll software.
  • Preparing payroll reports.
  • Responding to employee questions about compensation, taxes, benefits, and deductions


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of payroll experience.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and payroll software
  • Can Start ASAP
