IBM System i (AS/400 Senior Developer) RPG IV, Taguig

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain applications on the IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform using RPG IV, RPG Free, and CL programming.

Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Debug, test, and enhance existing applications to improve performance and functionality.

Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

Analyze and resolve system issues, providing timely support to end-users.

Work on database design and management, including DB2 for i.

Develop and maintain technical documentation for applications and systems.

Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Years of experience in AS/400 RPG development, including RPG IV and RPG Free.

Strong knowledge of CL programming and DB2 for i database management.

Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging complex applications.

Experience with APIs, web services, and integration between AS/400 systems and modern platforms.

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
