Auditor, Taguig

Malaya Services Corporation is looking for Auditors to join our Audit Practice in New York.

Please note that while the role will be based in the Philippines initially, actual audit work will commence ONE YEAR after being hired, and relocation to New York will be required upon visa approval.

Our Assurance Practice provides professional services to a diverse client base, including large and small governments, public-private partnerships, non-profit organizations, and collaborations with other professional service firms, both domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

General Accounting & Audit Functions:

• Conduct financial and compliance audits.
• Perform audits of internal controls over financial reporting.

Audit & Test Procedures:

• Assist the audit team in executing key audit and test procedures.
• Perform tracing and vouching of financials and work papers to underlying support documentation.
• Conduct analytical analyses in alignment with audit program requirements.

Team Collaboration:

• Communicate regularly with the assigned team leader.
• Provide support to ensure timely and accurate audit completion.

Tax Engagements:

• Support tax engagements as needed.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Available for full-time position.
• Willingness to relocate to New York after one year, upon visa approval.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Experience working on any of the Big 4 Firms is a plus
• At least 4 years of audit experience

Requirements:

• Must be a CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective interpersonal skills and team-oriented mindset.
• Confidence to work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Audit experience in government or non-profit organizations is a plus.
