Job Summary

The Sales Engineer is responsible for combining technical expertise with sales skills to promote, sell, and support company products or solutions. This role serves as a bridge between the engineering/technical team and customers, providing technical guidance, product demonstrations, and tailored solutions to meet client needs. The position requires strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts clearly.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Sales and Customer Engagement

• Identify and develop new sales opportunities and maintain relationships with existing clients
• Understand customer requirements and provide tailored technical solutions
• Prepare and deliver product presentations, proposals, and quotations
• Participate in client meetings, trade shows, and product demonstrations
• Support the sales team in achieving targets and revenue goals

2. Technical Support and Expertise

• Provide in-depth technical knowledge about products, services, and solutions
• Assist clients in product selection, installation, and configuration
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in coordination with engineering or support teams
• Conduct training or workshops for clients and internal teams as needed

3. Coordination and Documentation

• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and product teams to align solutions with customer needs
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and project documentation
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and other supporting documents for clients
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and new technologies

4. Administrative and Miscellaneous

• Follow up on sales leads and customer inquiries in a timely manner
• Assist in the development of sales and marketing strategies for technical products
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
