Safety Officer, Marikina

Responsibilities

• Periodically review established house rules and recommend improvements based on changes in warehouse operations and activities.
• Ensure strict compliance with established house rules and HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) guidelines.
• Issue citations or violation tickets for any non-compliance or non-conformance with house rules and HSSE guidelines.
• Lead the safety officers and housekeeping crew nominated by subcontractors to ensure proper housekeeping is maintained at all times.
• Evaluate the competency of subcontractor/trade contractor-nominated Safety Officers.
• Conduct periodic walkthroughs and inspections to identify potential hazards, including physical, environmental, and biological risks.
• Coordinate with the PCO and Nurse to establish risk mitigation and preventive programs to avoid identified hazards.
• Consolidate and ensure all preventive maintenance schedules declared by the PMO and warehouse are adhered to.
• Verify that all lifting, heavy, and major equipment used on-site meet standards established by the PMO and HSSE Department.
