Supportive and Pain Nurse (Calamba Cancer Center)

The Supportive and Pain Nurse is responsible for providing compassionate, patient-centered nursing care focused on pain management, symptom control, supportive care, and improving the quality of life of cancer patients. The role works closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective management of physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of patients undergoing cancer treatment.

Job Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and manage patients pain levels and other symptoms related to cancer and its treatment.
• Administer prescribed medications, pain management therapies, and supportive treatments safely and accurately.
• Educate patients and families regarding pain management plans, medications, symptom control, and home care instructions.
• Monitor patients for side effects, adverse reactions, and treatment effectiveness.
• Collaborate with oncologists, palliative care physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals in developing patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and patient records.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse (PRC License required).
• With at least 1 year hospital or clinical nursing experience.
• Experience in oncology, palliative care, pain management, or supportive care nursing is an advantage.
• Knowledgeable in medication administration, pain assessment, and symptom management.
• Strong communication, empathy, and patient care skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Willing to relocate or work in Calamba, Laguna.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Oncology Nursing or Palliative Care is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS certification is an advantage.
• Training in pain management or supportive care nursing is an advantage.
