Compounding Pharmacist (Calamba Cancer Center)

The Compounding Pharmacist is responsible for the safe preparation, compounding, dispensing, and monitoring of chemotherapy medications and other sterile pharmaceutical products in accordance with hospital standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. The role ensures accurate medication preparation while maintaining the highest level of patient safety and quality care.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and compound chemotherapy medications and sterile preparations following established protocols and aseptic techniques.
• Review physician orders for accuracy, dosage appropriateness, drug interactions, and patient safety.
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous drugs and pharmaceutical products.
• Maintain compliance with FDA, DOH, USP, and hospital pharmacy regulations and standards.
• Monitor inventory levels of oncology medications and coordinate replenishment as needed.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of compounded medications and pharmacy records.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
• Licensed Pharmacist in the Philippines (PRC License required).
• With experience in sterile compounding, oncology pharmacy, or hospital pharmacy is an advantage.
• Knowledgeable in chemotherapy preparation and hazardous drug handling protocols.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Willing to relocate or work in Calamba, Laguna.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in oncology or cancer center setting is an advantage.
