Cost Estimator – Offset Printing / Packaging, Laguna

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Estimator to join our manufacturing team specializing in offset printing and packaging production. The Cost Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for packaging projects, coordinating with production and sales teams, and ensuring pricing aligns with company profitability targets.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for offset printing and packaging jobs including materials, labor, machine time, and overhead.
• Analyze job specifications such as size, paper type, colors, finishing, and quantity.
• Coordinate with Sales, Production, and Purchasing teams to gather necessary costing information.
• Calculate paper consumption, ink usage, plates, die cuts, lamination, and finishing costs.
• Prepare quotations and pricing proposals for customers.
• Maintain and update costing databases, price lists, and supplier pricing.
• Review historical job data to improve costing accuracy.
• Ensure all quotations meet company profit margin guidelines.
• Assist management in evaluating production efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet quotation deadlines.

• Bachelors Degree in Printing Technology, Business Administration, or any related course.
• At least 35 years of experience in cost estimation or costing in manufacturing, preferably in offset printing, packaging, or paper-based products.
• Strong understanding of offset printing processes.
• Knowledge of materials used in packaging production such as paperboard, ink, coatings, lamination, and die-cutting.
• Ability to analyze job specifications, production requirements, and cost components including materials, labor, machine time, and overhead.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office applications for costing analysis and reports.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.
• Good communication and coordination skills to work with Sales, Production, and Purchasing teams.
