Inpatient Medical Coder, Pampanga

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inpatient Medical Coders to join our growing team of coding professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assigning medical codes and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will play a critical role in maintaining coding accuracy, supporting revenue cycle processes, and delivering high-quality coding services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Allied Medical courses
• 3 years of recent academic hospital experience
• 3 years of recent Epic and Solventum (3M) experience
• Active CCS or CIC Certification is required
• Strong domain knowledge in Coding Clinics
• Good exposure in ICD Guidelines and new born charts
• Hands-on exposure to MS-DRG, APR-DRG, PCS, PDX sections, and CC/MCC sections.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review medical record documentation and assign accurate ICD-10 diagnoses and ICD-10-PCS procedure codes
• Ensure correct assignment of MS-DRG/APR-DRG classifications
• Abstract and input required clinical data based on facility guidelines
• Monitor accounts such as DNFB (Discharged Not Final Billed), failed claims, and stop bills to ensure timely processing
• Maintain high standards for accuracy, productivity, and quality metrics
• Stay updated with CMS guidelines, including HACs, NCDs, LCDs, and coding updates
• Apply appropriate modifiers to ensure clean claims submission
• Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient billing workflow
