Qualifications and Standards

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience in food and beverage service or food preparation positions
• Good working knowledge of sanitation standards and health codes
• Experience with hot and cold food preparation
• Ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for customers
• Weigh, measure, mix, and prep ingredients according to recipes
• Steam, grill, boil, bake, or fry meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients
• Check food and ingredients for freshness
• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before serving
• Keep the kitchen sanitized and orderly
