Description

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or any related field.
  • Accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO) by DENR-EMB, or willing to obtain accreditation.
  • With at least 23 years of relevant experience in environmental compliance, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine environmental laws and regulations, including RA 8749 (Clean Air Act), RA 9275 (Clean Water Act), RA 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act), and RA 6969 (Toxic Substances and Hazardous and Nuclear Wastes Control Act).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and technical report-writing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and basic data analysis tools.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and regulatory agencies.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and compliance management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure company compliance with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, and DENR-EMB requirements.
  • Act as the designated Pollution Control Officer (PCO), liaising with regulatory bodies and ensuring timely submission of required reports and permits.
  • Monitor and evaluate environmental performance, including air emissions, wastewater discharge, and solid and hazardous waste management.
  • Prepare, review, and submit environmental compliance reports such as SMRs, CMRs, and other regulatory documents.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify environmental risks and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Implement and maintain environmental management programs and initiatives to minimize environmental impact.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure proper waste segregation, disposal, and pollution prevention measures.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to employees regarding environmental policies, safety practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of environmental records, permits, and monitoring results.
  • Recommend improvements and corrective actions to address non-compliance issues and enhance sustainability practices.
