Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Purchasing to join our meat industry company. As the Purchasing, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement of pork and beef products for our business operations. Your primary goal will be to ensure the timely and efficient sourcing of high-quality meats to meet our production needs.

Responsibilities:

• Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement effective procurement strategies for pork and beef products, considering factors such as quality, availability, pricing, and supplier relationships.
• Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing, terms, and conditions. Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, monitoring their performance and addressing any issues or concerns.
• Purchase Orders: Create and manage purchase orders for pork and beef products, ensuring accurate specifications, quantities, and delivery dates. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as production, quality control, and logistics, to align procurement activities with business needs.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of pork and beef products, implementing effective inventory control measures to minimize stockouts and excess inventory. Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure proper storage and handling of meat products.
• Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and industry developments related to pork and beef products. Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and evaluate their suitability.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards, such as food safety and quality assurance requirements. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to purchasing activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the meat industry with a focus on pork and beef products.
• Strong knowledge of meat sourcing, cuts, grading, and industry specifications.
• Familiarity with procurement software systems and inventory management tools.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze market trends, pricing data, and supplier performance.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
• Leadership skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
• Familiarity with food safety and quality assurance standards and regulations.
• Willing to start ASAP.
