Safety Officer 3, La Union

Job Description :

1. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies in compliance with Philippine regulations and international standards for construction projects.
2. Provide safety training and orientation to all personnel, including new hires, subcontractors, and visitors, on safety procedures, emergency response protocols, and hazard recognition.
3. Enforce safety rules and regulations on-site and take corrective action to address violations or unsafe practices, including issuing warnings, stop-work orders, and disciplinary measures as necessary.
4. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and contributing factors, and develop recommendations for corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as a Safety Officer in construction projects, preferably with experience in large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Professional certification as a Safety Officer III from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Philippines.
• Certification in Construction Occupational Health and Safety (COSH) is required.
• Pollution Control Training and/or accreditation is a must
• In-depth knowledge of construction site safety protocols, regulations, best practices.
