LABORATORY AID, Paranaque

The Laboratory Aid is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Quality Assurance and Research and Development Department.

The duties and responsibilities of a Laboratory Aid include, but are not limited to the following:

 1.     GENERAL TASKS.

1.1. Assist the RD Specialist in the preparation of laboratory equipment and raw materials

to be used for the production of samples.

1.2. Clean and sanitize laboratory glassware, equipment, and workspace before and after each use.

1.3. In charge of the proper storage of laboratory equipment.

1.4. Manage to maintain inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies.

1.5. Assist QA Specialists in obtaining samples from tested raw materials to be kept

in retention storage for future reference.

1.6. Maintain and maintain the stock of raw materials in the laboratory.

1.7. Assist in placing tags (ie APPROVE, REJECT, and ON HOLD) on containers of raw materials.

1.8. Assist in 100% weighing of incoming raw materials.

1.9. Assist the Pollution Control Officer in the inventory of raw materials for

disposal.

2.     UNLOADING OF ACCEPTED INDUSTRIAL SOLVENT FROM THE SUPPLIER

2.1. Assist in 100% checking/inspection of empty drums. Check for any flats or foreign contaminants inside the drums.

2.2. Assist in counting drums containing RMs per pallet.

2.3. Assist in supervising the unloading of RMs, and check if proper handling and

care of RMs are followed.

2.4. Assist in obtaining an industrial solvent sample from the iso tank

for the RD specialist to test.

3.     OTHER LABORATORY AID TASKS:

3.1. Filing copies of technical documents with proper labeling.

3.2.Archiving files used in receiving sample raw materials (i.e., sample requisition forms, COAs, and MSDS).

3.3. Shredding obsolete files for disposal.

3.4. Perform tasks assigned by the Immediate Head.
