Accounting Intern, Paranaque

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our finance team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting, working closely with experienced professionals in a dynamic environment. As an Accounting Intern, you will assist with various accounting tasks, learn industry best practices, and develop your skills in financial reporting, data analysis, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily accounting operations including data entry, invoice processing, and expense tracking.
• Support in preparing financial statements, reports, and other documents.
• Help reconcile accounts and perform regular account reviews.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain and update accounting files and records in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Support tax filing and other regulatory compliance documentation as required.
• Assist with internal audits and external audit preparation.
• Help with budgeting and forecasting activities and assist with the balancing of the office/department budget.
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements, making sure that the final figures on statements are correct.
• Track all payments made for tax preparation and follow up on returns.
• Organize a financial filing system that is easily accessible.
• Prepare accounting reports to be presented to senior management.
• Provide general administrative support to the accounting department as needed.
• Perform tasks as assigned by the Immediate Head

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to be assigned in Tambo, Paranaque City
