• Accounting audit teams are responsible for verifying the accuracy of financial records, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations (like GAAP or IFRS), evaluating internal controls to mitigate risks, and identifying potential fraud. They examine financial statements, perform reconciliations, document findings, and provide recommendations to management to improve operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
