Driving and Delivery of Goods

• Drive delivery trucks to transport goods, packages, and materials to various locations within a specified route and timeline. Ensure safe, timely, and efficient delivery of all products.

Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance

• Perform regular pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking the trucks condition, including tires, brakes, engine, and lights. Report any vehicle issues and ensure the truck is in proper working order before starting deliveries.

Loading and Unloading Goods

• Load and unload packages or goods safely and efficiently, ensuring that the items are properly secured and protected during transit. This may involve operating equipment like hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts.

Route Planning and Navigation

• Plan the most efficient route for each delivery, taking into account road conditions, traffic, and delivery times. Use GPS and route planning tools to optimize travel times

Customer Interaction

• Provide excellent customer service by being polite, professional, and helpful when interacting with customers during deliveries. Ensure customers sign the delivery receipt and resolve any issues related to the delivery promptly.

Documentation and Record-Keeping

• Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery receipts, logs, and manifests. Ensure proper documentation of deliveries made, including verifying items delivered and any discrepancies or damage during the trip.

Adhering to Traffic and Safety Regulations

• Follow all local traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies to ensure safety during the driving and delivery process. Ensure compliance with weight limits, driving hours, and rest breaks.

Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization of the Truck

• Keep the delivery truck clean, organized, and free from debris. Ensure that goods are properly stored in the vehicle to avoid damage during transit.

Handling Special Deliveries

• For special deliveries (e.g., fragile or temperature-sensitive items), follow specific procedures to ensure the products are handled and delivered according to safety and quality standards.

Reporting Issues or Delays

• Immediately report any issues, delays, accidents, or vehicle breakdowns to the supervisor or dispatcher. Communicate effectively with the team and customers if there are delays in delivery times.
