Pollution Control Officer, Paranaque

JOB SUMMARY

The Pollution Control Officer (PCO) is responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and standards. The PCO oversees pollution prevention, waste management, environmental monitoring, and the implementation of occupational safety and health programs in coordination with BOSH, MOSH, and TOSH.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Environmental Compliance and Pollution Control
• Ensure compliance with DENR regulations, environmental permits, and applicable local ordinances.
• Implement pollution control programs to prevent air, water, and land contamination.
• Monitor wastewater treatment systems, emissions, solid waste, and hazardous waste disposal.
• Prepare, submit, and maintain environmental reports such as SMR, Hazardous Waste Reports, and Permit Compliance Monitoring.
• Conduct regular environmental inspections and audits within the property.

QUALIFICATIONS

• TESDA National Certificate (NC II) Pollution Control Officer
• With relevant previous work experience as a Pollution Control Officer or in environmental management
• Knowledgeable in Philippine environmental laws and DENR requirements
• Trained or certified either in BOSH, MOSH, or TOSH is an advantage but not required
• Familiar with waste management, pollution control systems, and environmental monitoring
• Good communication, documentation, and report-writing skills
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with management and regulatory agencies
