The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting and managing various human resources functions such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, payroll, and compliance with labor laws. This role ensures smooth HR operations and contributes to a positive and productive workplace environment.
II. Principal Functions and Responsibilities
A. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Post job openings and screen applicants.
- Schedule and assist in interviews and selection processes.
- Conduct orientation and onboarding for new hires.
- Maintain updated employee records and documentation.
B. Employee Relations & Compliance
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee concerns.
- Assist in disciplinary actions, issuance of warnings, and investigations.
- Conduct exit interviews and support offboarding procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and Philippine labor laws.
C. Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Track attendance, leave, and payroll adjustments.
- Administer government-mandated benefits such as SSS, Pag-IBIG, and PhilHealth.
- Prepare HR and payroll-related reports for management review.
D. Performance Management & Training
- Support performance evaluation cycles.
- Assist in training needs assessment and scheduling.
- Maintain training and performance records.
E. HR Projects & Employee Engagement
- Support company-wide HR initiatives, events, and engagement programs.
- Assist in improving HR processes and internal communications.
III. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of HR practices and Philippine labor laws.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple HR tasks.
- Responsible, trustworthy, and adaptable in managing various HR functions.
IV. Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 13 years of experience in HR functions (preferably as an HR Generalist).
- Knowledge of payroll, benefits, and labor law compliance.
- Experience in retail, manufacturing, or service industries is a plus.
V. Working Conditions
- Office-based position with occasional visits to other departments or branches.
- Flexible schedule depending on operational needs.
