Clearing Processor, Quezon City

Facilitates timely and accurate offsetting of the banks claims against counterclaims of other clearing participant banks and finalizing the gains and losses following the rules and regulations set by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), Philippine Clearing House Corporation (PCHC), other government institutions and the banks internal policies. 

NOTE: This job vacancy is based on our Kalayaan Extension Office, Makati City.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Inward Operations:

• Ensures that authentication of Check images, Drawers signatures, and the checking of technical defects of all inward clearing checks are carried out following individual limits of Php999,999.99 and within the PCHCs clearing cut-off 8:00 A.M;
• Ensures that all returnable items due to No Sufficient Funds, Stop Payment Order and Account Closed and those items with technical defects and signature issues are returned within the PCHC cut-off 8:00A.M;
• Ensures that all clearing checks and incoming returned checks are debited by the system to the clients accounts and those where the system failed to debit are posted to the accounts following individual limits of Php500,000.00;

Outward Operations:

• Passes GL entries for legitimate clearing transactions;
• Assists the branches thru remote batch entry in OCS and provides updates aboutthe status as soon as possible;
• Reviews and confirms the completion of branch posting instructions provided by the night shift associates;
• Secures branch disposition on checks with technical defects on or before 8:00 A.M.;
• Assists branches with transmission problems and updates them on the status as soon as possible;
• Analyzes inward and outward clearing discrepancies and initiates prompt settlement with other banks;
• Verifies Managers Checks issued by branches and Head Office units;
