Job description:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Customs Administration, Supply Chain Management, Food Technology, or any related field.
  • Experience processing documents with FDA, DA, BOC, and other PH government agencies related to food importation is a MUST and strictly non-negotiable.
  • Minimum 23 years of hands-on experience in importation, regulatory compliance, or logistics for food products.
  • Experience handling end-to-end importation workflow, from supplier inquiry to customs clearance and warehouse delivery, is highly preferred.


Skills & Experience:

  • Strong knowledge in processing of Certificate of Product Registration (CPR), License to Operate (LTO), Labeling requirements and product registration, and other permits and clearances required for imported food items.
  • Familiar with INCOTERMS and their proper application in import transactions.
  • Skilled in preparing, reviewing, and coordinating importation documents such as invoice, packing list, COO, bill of lading, health certificates, etc.
  • Understanding of HS codes, import duties, VAT, taxes, and general import compliance procedures.
  • Proficient in landed cost computation, including duties, taxes, brokerage fees, freight, and insurance.
  • Knowledge of international food standards (HACCP, GMP, Codex Alimentarius) is an advantage.


Qualifications:

Supplier Sourcing & Market Research

  • Ability to source and evaluate local and international suppliers for potential imported products.
  • Conducts market and product research to identify opportunities aligned with MSCS PRIMEGOODS INC.s business needs.
  • Skilled in assessing supplier compliance (GMP, certifications, quality standards) and negotiating pricing, MOQ, and terms.

Communication, Coordination & Leadership

  • Strong coordination skills when dealing with international suppliers, logistics partners, brokers, and government agencies.
  • Can train procurement staff and managers on basic importation workflows and regulatory requirements.
  • Capable of creating SOPs, checklists, and documentation for a structured importation process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting, compliance documentation, and supplier correspondence.

Systems & Documentation Skills

  • Proficient in using Google Workspace, Excel, and document tracking systems.
  • Familiar with FDA ePortal, BOC systems, and National Single Window (NSW).
  • Able to maintain a complete and organized digital filing system for import documents, CPRs, LTOs, shipment records, and regulatory submissions.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong sense of integrity and compliance.
  • Analytical and capable of solving import-related issues independently.

Preferred Skills (Optional)

  • Experience working with freight forwarders, consolidators, and customs brokers.
  • Background in import cost analysis and pricing strategy.
  • Basic knowledge of food quality assurance standards.
