QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Attainment:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (BSCS), Information Technology (BSIT), Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business Administration (MBA) is an advantage.

Technical Skills & Experience Required:

  • Highly skilled in software development, programming, debugging, and application architecture.
  • Expert-level proficiency in multiple programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, PHP, JavaScript, TypeScript, or equivalent technologies.
  • Must demonstrate expert-level proficiency in at least 3 programming languages from the specified technologies or equivalent platforms.
  • Extensive experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of software design patterns, object-oriented programming (OOP), and system integration.
  • Advanced systems analysis, database design, code review, troubleshooting, and architectural planning skills.
  • Proficient in relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud platforms, API development, microservices architecture, and enterprise-level applications.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, system security, and data protection standards.
  • Ability to evaluate, optimise, and improve software performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Strong capability to lead, mentor, and manage software developers through structured monitoring, performance metrics, and technical guidance.
  • Experience in project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills for collaborative reporting and executive-level discussions.
  • Minimum of 5-6 years of software development experience required.

  • Proven experience in supervising and managing software development teams.
  • Minimum of 5-6 years of experience required in supervising and managing software development teams.
  • Ability to establish development standards, coding guidelines, and quality assurance processes.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive project completion within deadlines.
  • Capable of coordinating with management, business units, and technical teams to align organisational objectives.

  • Willing to work on-site and render extended hours when required by project demands.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

  • Lead and supervise the developer team by closely monitoring daily activities, project milestones, and task completion status.
  • Review source codes, system designs, and technical deliverables to ensure compliance with development standards and best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and programming guidance to software developers.
  • Ensure software solutions are developed efficiently, securely, and in accordance with business requirements.
  • Consistently update the Manager regarding operational requirements, software frameworks, infrastructure needs, and ongoing development activities.
  • Prepare and present technical updates, project progress reports, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors (BODs) and IT Manager.
  • Coordinate project planning, system implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor software quality, system performance, and development productivity through structured metrics and reporting.
  • Ensure all supervisory tasks, proposals, plans, and technical recommendations are reviewed and aligned with the Manager before implementation.
  • Collaborate with the Manager in defining technical strategies, development roadmaps, and operational improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, process optimisation, and adoption of emerging technologies.
  • Maintain compliance with organisational policies, security standards, and software governance practices.
  • Actively participate in collaborative planning, ensuring that all major operational and technical decisions are discussed and aligned with the IT Manager before implementation.
