Executive Chef - is responsible for overseeing all food preparation and kitchen operations in a restaurant, hotel, resort, or catering business. They lead the culinary team and ensure that food quality, safety, and service standards are maintained.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily kitchen activities and food preparation.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
  • Design and update menus.
  • Create new recipes and food concepts.
  • Ensure menu items are cost-effective and appealing to customers.
  • Lead, train, and motivate chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants.
  • Assign duties and monitor staff performance.

  • Order food ingredients and kitchen supplies.
  • Monitor stock levels and reduce waste.
  • Manage food and labor costs.

  • Address food-related concerns and complaints.
  • Ensure guests receive high-quality meals and service.


Job Requirements and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Several years of experience as a executive chef or in a senior kitchen management position.
  • Experience in menu planning, food costing, and inventory management.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends.
  • Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and purchasing procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creativity in menu development and food presentation.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when needed.
