Delivery Driver, Quezon City

Job Summary:

Responsible for the safe and complete delivery and/or retrieval of purchased goods at vendor and/or client sites to meet target schedules; and other various miscellaneous works in the department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Operates vehicle or other material handling unit to deliver or transfer goods to designated locations/sites

2. Drives office vehicles for the transport of authorized personnel

3. Ensures that correct and complete items are picked up or delivered from vendors or to customers

4. Ensures the safety of goods from theft, vandalism, rain or other environmental factors during loading or unloading and while in transit

5. Assists in loading and unloading goods and ensures that items are in good condition

6. Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered

7. Collects payments from customers and secures important documents (such as delivery receipts, sales invoices, official receipts, etc.)

8. Communicates with the Billing and Collection Department regarding the payment scheme of a client

9. Explains to customer important information regarding delivered products, such as warranty terms and conditions, safety precautions, installation tips, storage and handling warnings and general use of the products

10. Responsible for the day to day maintenance of the assigned vehicle such as checking oil level, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc. and performs minor repairs and arranges for other repairs to ensure that the vehicle is kept clean

11. Other clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, scanning, handling of incoming/outgoing telephone calls, etc.

12. Assists in other warehouse or office activities

Qualifications:

1. Must have a professional 1 2 3 driver's license

2. Must have at least 2 to 3 years experience in driving within Metro Manila

3. Must have proper knowledge of tools usage and application

4. Must possess exceptional spatial intelligence

5. Must be able to be keen into details

6. Must be able to exercise integrity, considerable independence and initiative in daily activities

7. Must be a team player

8. Must have time management, effective communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

9. Must be willing to work for long hours
