Truck/Automotive Technician, Quezon City

Job Overview

The Technician is responsible for the installation, wiring,

testing, and troubleshooting of GPS devices, dashcams, and fuel sensors on a

variety of vehicles, particularly trucks and commercial fleets. This role

requires precision, adherence to safety and technical standards, and the

ability to work efficiently in the field. The Technician supports deployment

schedules, ensures proper documentation, and maintains the quality of every

installation..

Key Responsibilities Installation & Setup

 Perform installation of GPS trackers, dashcams (2/3 channel with AI), and fuel sensors according to approved procedures and wiring standards.

 Follow installation drawings, method guides, and technical instructions provided by the supervisor.

 Ensure neat, secure, and safe wiring for both 12V and 24V vehicle systems.

 Troubleshooting & Quality Control

 Test and calibrate devices after installation to ensure proper functionality.

 Troubleshoot wiring, connectivity, and sensor calibration issues on-site.

Correct any installation errors before handover to the client.

Documentation & Reporting

 Complete the Installation Report with all required details, including device serial numbers, wiring notes, and post-installation photos.

 Submit accurate and complete documentation to the supervisor after each project.

 Maintenance & Tool Management

 Keep personal and company tools in good condition, reporting any damages or required replacements.

 Maintain cleanliness and organization of toolkits, storage areas, and vehicles used for installations.

Qualifications

  High school graduate, vocational course, or technical certification in automotive technology or electronics.

  At least 12 years of experience in automotive electrical installation (GPS, dashcams, alarms, sensors, or similar device s).

 Strong knowledge of 12V/24V vehicle wiring, particularly for trucks and commercial fleets.

  Ability to read wiring diagrams and use basic electrical testing tools.

  Willingness to work fully in the field with possible overtime and provincial travel.
